I should be doing my homework right now.. But I decided to go read and summerize those posts in the Key Thread first.. Damn myself to hell. I have all these projects to do as well.. At least a lot of them got pushed back a day.

Today I changed the water for Shivani's zebra fish in Chemistry class. Those poor fish. Avram was right next to me when he said, "I can't believe you let it go this far Mr. Stanton. The fish are going to die. They're drowning." It took me a full minute to compute that in my head and start laughing. In response, Leslie, Kent, and Dhruv started laughing at me for taking so long to get it. Heh. Hey, I'm slow, so sue me. But it was true. Those fish were drowning.. In their own fecal matter. Sad, but true.

Bah. I haven't been doing much at all lately. Just hanging around really. I've had the pleasure of wallowing in those quiet, breezy moments, where its just you and the world. Reading in the park, drinking bubble tea at the pier. It's been lovely, both with or without friends. Sometimes you just need alone time to sort out those feelings, you know. Luckily, it's been really nice out, so I can have that time.

I fear for the people in our school. They started showing us the Class Ranks, and we currently know the top seven. Sadly, I know these people will most likely be ripping themselves apart just to get to the first rank. I honestly don't approve of ranking, or at least, not in a school such as the one I go to. It sends self-confidence plummeting, and people become more concerned with competing with each other instead of just focusing on the one that matters in grading - youself. And you know those crazy parents that are around as well. I guess that's the down side of the "Academic" high school.

I have The Brilliant Green music, KHElite, The Great Hunt by Robert Jordan, and cookeis keeping me company. Just dandy.
